In light of the increasing water demand arising from population and economic growth, WSD has been implementing the "Total Water Management (TWM) Strategy" since 2008 to better prepare Hong Kong for the acute climate changes and low rainfall.

Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant (TKODP) is one of the strategic infrastructures by WSD targeted to provide reliable and adequate supply of potable water, through advanced water treatment such as reverse osmosis (RO) technology.

A guided tour will be provided by the Binnies Hong Kong Limited.
