Asia Pacific Initiative 2013 “Speak Out for Engineering” Presentation Competition was taken place on 14September 2013at an open podium in Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The competition tailored for mainly the Affiliate members and Associate members of the institution. This competition aimed at promoting the ability to communicate mechanical engineering subjects effectively. Competitors shall give an oral presentation on a subject relating to mechanical engineering within 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for discussion and questions from a panel of judges.

All EngNow SOFE contestants are the winners from their respective regions from North East Asia, South East Asia, Southern Asia and Oceania. They all delivered an extraordinary high quality of presentation with a perfect handling of questions from the panel of judges. Panel of judges had a hard time to decide the winners and finally announced for two champions and one 2nd runner up. All the judges, contestants and audiences gained a lot and had a great time in this meaningful competition.
