Cardboard Boat Race 2023
Saturday 16thSeptember 2023, Commercial Wharf, Plymouth.
Put your skills to the test in our engineering challenge: Build a boat out of nothing but a few bits of cardboard and some sticky tape, then sail it around a course in Plymouth harbour!
We have two categories: Build on the day & Pre-build for Schools and Youth groups.
Pre-build:
Are you entering as a team from a school or youth group with a boat? Please emaildevcorncbrc@imechenearyou.orgto request an access code for your tickets.
Turn up on the day with your boat at 9am to sign in. Racing will start at 10am.
Build on the day:
We will supply you with all of the equipment, materials, and engineering expertise you need to construct a boat and paddle it safely across the harbour. You will have 3 hours to design and build your boat before the race begins. Engineers will be on hand to help you.
Entry fee: £25 (paid on here) per team (max. 6 per team) + £20 REFUNDABLE deposit brought on the day for the tools provided (Build on the Day teams only)
