The modern Plant Engineer will most likely be required to manage the generation and distribution of low-pressure saturated steam for industrial use. Typically, the teaching of boiler and steam theory at university does not address the major practical considerations of raising, distributing and using steam. This presentation will introduce the major factors that should be understood and managed in order to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient management of industrial boilers and steam systems.
About the presenter:
Mr Vaughan Rimbault (MSAIMechE, GCC) has more than 15 years of experience as a Plant engineer or equivalent. During this time he has gained a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of low-pressure boilers, the distribution and use of steam, and the capture and return of condensate.
