AKDC is one of the integral events hosted by IMechE for freshmen year. It enables students to apply their prior knowledge they have gained to design and fabricate a model and compete against teams within GIKI and against other universities. It inculcates a sense of belonging in the students and also gives them a lifelong learning experience which helps them to improve their collaborative skillset from documentation to presentation skills.
