Description

Have you ever wondered whether trains could drive themselves? Simon Lawson and John Batty present the story behind the reconfiguration and installation of a state-of-the-art train control system. From project initiation to daily operation, the talk will cover various aspects and challenges including design, authorisation and service introduction.

There will be an area set aside for a networking event before and after the talk, where a number of top railway employers will provide advice on routes into graduate engineering careers in UK rail, a growing industry with endless opportunities. Beer and pizza will be laid on.
