Description

Dr Jonathan Aylen, immediate past-president of the Newcomen Society, talks about the origins of the TOPS traffic management systemimplemented by British Railways from 1973 to control freight traffic. The software had its origins in the US Strategic Air Command's SAGE system which gave early warning of bomber attacks on the US

This is joint event with IET.
