Across the Region, we have a varied programme of events, closely aligned with the IMechE’s five key themes of Energy, Environment, Transport, Education and Manufacturing
The programme includes visits and activities to assist your professional development, to add to your learned knowledge, and to provide inspiration for a new generation of younger people to become engineers.
Our Young Members continue to take the lead in prestigious events in the Region including GreenPower which gives school pupils an opportunity to build and race an electric vehicle.
If you have a little time to spare and are interested in joining any of the active Committees, please also get in touch. We need enthusiastic volunteers. It can be very interesting work, good for developing your skills and also provides some great networking opportunities.
We are well supported by our Regional Business Development Manager, Denis Healy, who provides various ‘Routes To Professional Registration’ workshops as well as developing Company-Based Registration schemes, to make transition to full membership of the Institution as straightforward as possible. Please contact Denis directly if you want to find out more – either as an individual, or on behalf of your Company atd_healy@imeche.org.
