The IMechE Birmingham Area AGM will be held on 25th April. This will be a physical location, which is Clayton Hotel, meeting room 3 (located on the conference floor), 85 Albert Street, Birmingham, B5 5JE. The event will include a talk about "The Arts et Métiers and the French education system of the "Grandes Écoles" or what a school of engineering could look like today if it had been created by the IMechE or the IET".

The first in a series of talks taking a light hearted look at the career of a professional engineer who has travelled to and worked in around 22 different countries during a career spanning over 50 years. It will look at the successes, failures, highs, lows and everything in between that engineering can bring. This second presentation will concentrate on "the good, the bad and the ugly".
