彼得•沃克形式er head of Steam Turbine Engineering for General Electric (GE), now working as a part time consultant to GE including supporting development of their Steam Turbines for the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) strategy will talk about how the reactor conditions determine the design of steam turbines for SMRs looking both at the relatively near-term reactor developments and longer term so-called Gen4 machines.
The technical content will include looking at scaling steam turbines, and about wetness effects – especially how scaling impacts wetness.
Dr Peter Walker is the former head of engineering for Steam Turbines at GE Steam Power (formerly Alstom Power where he was head of ST R&D). With over 30 years industrial experience, starting in aerodynamics, he now acts as a consultant to the Nuclear Steam Turbine business.
