开始:VCALENDAR方法:发布开始:VEVENT DESCRIPTION:Near You Event - IMechE Presidential Address\n\nEvent Type: Car eers & education\n\nIndustry Sector: Power Industries\n\nSpeak Details: Ph il Peel is the 137th IMechE President and has been a member of the IMechE since 1981.\nHe is currently Chief Engineer with General Electric in Switz erland where he has led the development of new steam turbine technologies. \n\nDescription : Phil Peel is the 2022/23 President of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. \;\n\nPhil has been a member of the IMechE sinc e 1981\, becoming a Fellow in 2007. \; His engineering career began as a student trainee with the UK Ministry of Defence in 1981. Having graduat ed in engineering from University College\, Durham in 1985 with a B.Sc. in Engineering Science\, he continued his studies to obtain a Masters in Tur bomachinery in 1986. He has over 35 years of experience in the global powe r generation business. His career has focused on the development and desig n of large steam turbines\, being based initially in Rugby\, UK with GEC T urbine Generators and subsequently Alstom Power.
